Weekly Events at The Grove

 

 

Reminder: Masks are required in the clubhouse by Governor Ivey’s mandate so please wear a mask when you are in the clubhouse for any activity.  This mandate is in effect until January 22nd

Resident Directory 2021: A rough draft of the directory will be in the craft room for residents to check the information to make sure their name is spelled correctly, phone number, email and address are correct. Once you check the information please initial so we know you have checked it.  John will put out the rough draft around the second week of January. You will have 1 week to check your information.  Then it goes to the printer and directories will be sold about the end of January or beginning of February depending on how long the printer will take. Cost will be determined once John has an accurate count of the pages needed for the directory. 

Open Crafts on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Mondays at 1:00 p.m.
Crafters, do you have projects that you just don’t seem to have time to work on?  This is a dedicated time to work on any type of project. Having a dedicated craft project time helps to get that project done. Bring your project and spend time working on it while meeting other crafters. 

 

Craft Sit In 6:00 p.m every Wednesday.
Terry Douglas is hosting a Craft Sit-In. This is another opportunity for crafters to get together and work on their individual projects.  Meeting will take place in the arts and craft room.

Exercise Classes Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Join Ronda at 8:00 AM for a walking video and 12-minute black dress work out.  Then at 9:00 is chair exercise which is more difficult than it sounds. There are 3 different work out video’s that focus on different exercise for seniors. Come and give it a try. 

 

Aerobics with Maria every Tuesday and Thursday

Join Maria for a low impact aerobic workout at 9:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It a great way to limber up and a good cardio work out in the auditorium. 

Wallys Painting Class starting Tuesday, January 12th 1:00-3:00

Wally will be starting his watercolor painting classes again. Watch for further information. It will be a 6-week course.

Men’s Breakfast and Luncheon starts again in January

Thursday the 7th and 21st will be the breakfast. The 12th will be the luncheon.  Sign up sheets will be posted on the bulletin board. Please make sure to sign up if you are attending so the restaurant has an accurate count. Signup sheets are posted on the bulletin board. 

Bingo Tuesday, January 12th and 26th at 6:30 p.m.

Bingo will resume in January on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays.  You will need to wear a mask for this event.

Bunko Monday January 11th and 25th 6:30 p.m.

Mary will not host this event at this time. She is leaving the supplies in the game room closet. Anyone who would like to play bunko can come to play. You will have to wear a mask in the clubhouse.

The Gulf Shores Welcome Center is at 3459 Gulf Shores Pkwy. Heading south they are located just above the college on the right side of the road.  

They both offer information of everything in our area and in what Alabama has to offer.
